Welcome to June (Or Rather Where I Share My Newest Read-A-Thon Challenge)

Challenges, Food For Thought, Random

Hello Readers!!

It’s June! And being that it’s June it means that I am embarking on yet another Reading Challenge. I did one last month in the hopes of reading 6 books, but I didn’t quite make my goal. Last month I had planned to read:

Never Fade by Alexandra Bracken

The Coldest Girl in Coldtown (Audio) by Holly Black

Open Road Summer by Emery Lord

Now & Forever by Susane Colasanti

The Infinite Moment of Us by Lauren Myracle

The Demon Catchers of Milan by Kat Beyer

To briefly recap, I read four (4) of the six books. I read Never Fade, Open Road Summer, Now & Forever, and the Infinite Moment of Us.  Four out of six isn’t bad. And to be completely honest, I’m proud because I didn’t think I could read that much in one month.

Now with a new month sprawled out in front of me, I’ve decided to take on another read-a-thon challenge. I’m going to, once again, try to read six books. Three books will be books I picked up at this years Book Expo America and three will be a trilogy that I’ve been dying to read but have yet to get around to.

As of right now, I’ve read one book I picked up at BEA,which was The Question of Miracles by Elana K. Arnold and since finishing have moved onto my second BEA read – The Lost by Sarah Beth Durst.  My third I’m still debating on.

As for the trilogy that I’ve been dying to read but just haven’t for whatever reason, I’m hoping to read Maggie Stiefvater’s Wolves of Mercy Falls Trilogy – or – Shiver, Linger, and Forever.

That’s my goal, and those are my plans. I’m really hoping I can read all of these this month, and feel that since I’ve already read one book I’m off to a good start.

What are you read, dear readers?!

Hi Readers!

I’m not the beach going kind of gal. In fact, I really don’t like the beach. I don’t love the salty ocean water, nor do I love the gritty sand that gets everywhere. Quite honestly, the only thing the beach is good for is sitting back and reading the day away. And below are ten books that I think should be in everyone’s beach bag.
