Hello Readers!

There are many ways we as readers decide what books we want to read, and what books we don’t want to read. And those ways vary from reader to reader. Today I am going to share with you the top reasons. While they aren’t ten reasons, these are the four reasons why I choose the books I choose to read. Unfor

  • It’s terrible but … I totally will read a book, or at least want to read a book based solely on the cover. Obviously, I don’t believe in that old saying “don’t judge a book by it’s cover.”
  • I’ll read or at least want to read a book because of a specific author. What I mean by this is that if one of my all time favorite author’s had a new book out, I’ll automatically want to read it, not (only) because what it was about, but simply because of my love of that author. It’s like an auto read for me.
  • I’ll read or at least want to read a book because someone I trust suggests I read it. And when I say someone, the main person who suggests books to me is Miss Print.
  • I’ll read or at least want to read a book because of a review I’ve read. Once upon a time, before I was a librarian I didn’t read a lot of book reviews. Why? Mainly because I didn’t want someone else’s opinions to influence my own. But professionally, I have to read reviews. And because I read them, I can’t help but find a book or ten that I want to add to my ever growing TBR list.
