(The above image was taken and created by me for the purpose of this post. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.)
It’s no secret: I totally judge books by their covers. But when I see a cover, or think of my favorite book covers I don’t necessarily see any seasonal theme.
Because of that, this Top Ten Tuesday topic was a difficult one for me. While I didn’t come up with a whopping ten books, I did find a solid five that for one reason or another reminded me of autumn.
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black & Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater (reminds me of Autumn because of the bare branches)
The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner (reminds me of Autumn because of the colors featured within the cover)
Tris & Izzie by Mette Ivie Harrison (reminds me of Autumn because of the colors and the scattered leaves)
The Leaving by Tara Altebrando (there’s something about the abandoned swings that screams summer is over, the kids have gone back to school, and the park has been abandoned in favors of cooler weather and passed down text books. If that doesn’t say Autumn I don’t know what does?!)
What covers remind you of Autumn? Or any other season for that matter?
