How are you on this Saturday? I hope you are well, and I hope that you are enjoying these posts! Today is Day eight of the Winter Break Book Bloggers Challenge: Sixteen Days of Blogging, and that means we are at the halfway point.
Day Eight: Picture of things that represent books – bread for Peeta, an owl for Harry Potter, etc..
The Book: Lola & The Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
The Object: A necklace of (beheaded) Marie Antoinette
If any of you, dear readers, have read Stephanie Perkins second book Lola & The Boy Next Door than you already know the relation between the book and, not specifically the necklace, but Marie Antoinette. But in case you don’t, I’ll explain.
In Lola & The Boy Next Door, main character Lola is a budding designer who has a flair for dramatics. So it’s really no surprise when she sets out to create a Marie Antoinette inspired dress for the upcoming Winter Ball. Even though the dress and the inspiration behind the dress isn’t the main plot, it’s a big part of it.
So, can you tell me a better way to represent Lola & The Boy Next Door other than by a Marie Antoinette pendant?! I bet if Lola owned this necklace, she would totally rock it!
